So the much talked about (at least in the gay community) occasion of Thomas Roberts hosting the Miss Universe pageant in Russia has happened last night. I didn't watch it, but there was just a post from Towleroad showing a clip of Thomas on the red carpet. Evidently he did not say anything about gay rights during the event, but he did make a statement on the red carpet.
...and I would say the bright pink jacket is a statement as well.
He also did an interview with a Russian journalist who was fired for being gay...I guess we'll see that at some point in the future. I'll keep an eye out for more developments (if they occur)...and continue to be undecided on my opinion of whether it was a good idea for him to do this or not.
